Tuesday morning started very early with Joe giving us a ride to the airport for our flight to Barcelona. During what was supposed to be a short layover in Atlanta, we were delayed over 2 hours in the terminal and nearly another hour on the runway before finally taking off. Lindsay might have been annoyed by this normally but finding Chick-fil-a in the airport (there isn't one within a 2 hour drive of us) made everything better. The airline apologized with free drinks and movies for everyone so we were happy to begin the celebration with their boxed wine. The couple sitting behind us was even happier and landed in Barcelona hammered. Lindsay thought we were getting in around 2pm but our original itinerary said 9am, so landing at noon was a bonus for her. We set our goal to stay up on that first night to help adjust to the time zone but knew it was going to take some caffeine after 18 hours of travel and 9 time zones.
